Learning through fun, adventure, interaction and experience

Our Group is made up of four sections (age groups) which meet weekly. Each Section is facilitated by a volunteer leader team, coordinated by a Section Leader. 

Meeting times for each section are listed below.

Ages 9 – 11
Monday 7:15pm – 8:30pm

scout section
Scouts

Ages 12 – 15
Friday 7:30pm – 9:00pm

venture section
Ventures

Ages 15 – 17
Friday 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Group Structure

Overseeing the Sections and the general running of the Group is the Group Council, comprising Charity Trustees, Section Leaders and Youth Representatives. Group Council meets every quarter. 

Supporting the day-to-day running of the Group is the Group Leader, an elected position with a 3 year term. The Group Leader is responsible for the overall planning and strategy of the Group, with the support of the Trustees and Group Council.

County and National

Our Group is part of the Cavan/Monaghan Scout County along with 6 other groups across Cavan and Monaghan. These groups often work together, collaborate on ideas, and run joint events and activities.

Our Group is also a member of Scouting Ireland, the national structure that provides professional resources, guidelines, training and assistance in developing Scouting and making it available to more young people.
